ECON 235: Introduction to Agricultural Markets
This course introduces students to the economics of agricultural markets. The course applies basic microeconomic principles to understand agricultural input and product markets, as well as farms and agri-business risk management strategies.  Additional topics covered may include biofuels policy, implications of market power in agricultural markets, and international trade policy as it relates to agricultural markets

ECON 642: Agricultural Economics II
This course covers advanced topics in agricultural economics, with an emphasis on market power, demand and supply analysis, and stochastic models.  The course begins by discussing tests of market integration, followed by models of imperfect competition in agricultural markets and relevant applications.  The course then discusses demand estimation, production function estimation, decision making under price and production uncertainty, and commodity market analysis.  Emphasis will be given to modern econometric and simulation techniques to evaluate classical questions in agricultural economics.  Other topics may include the economics of biofuel mandates, economics of climate change and agriculture, and further topics at the intersection of environmental and agricultural economics.
